The Finders were an international community and a cult founded in Washington, D.C. in the early 1970s by former Air Force Master Sergeant Marion Pettie. The movement loosely based its teachings on, among others, the writings of the philosopher Lao Tzu, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King. Their history includes allegations of connections with the CIA.
