Remembering Frank Drake takes us on a journey into his life and his contribution to science and SETI research. Frank Drake was the creator of the Drake Equalization that is designed to estimate the number of active, communicative extraterrestrial civilizations in the Milky Way Galaxy, now considered the second most famous equation in history. In 1960 he performed the first experiment to listen for possible Intelligent Signals from space. This formed the bases for what became SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence). Founded by Carl Sagan, Jill Tarter, and Frank Drake, The SETI Institute continues its mission to Transmit and Receive Signals in Outer Space, searching for evidence for Extraterrestrial Intelligent life in our Galaxy.
