Nearly all of Tokyo's citizens have vanished mysteriously, and otherworldly spirits have invaded the city. A spirit detective named KK, inhabits the body of Akito, and while having his own agenda, grants Akito supernatural powers and the ability to protect the souls of the ones he loves.
